I have been actively involved in many collaborative projects (2004-present), developed on the basis of an equal contemporary dialogue between art, technology and education. Below, the most indicative are presented.

Technological research projects 

In the context of my collaboration with NTUA (1998 – 2008) i have been involved in the following research projects:

Development and experimental evaluation of an ambient information system allowing interactive navigation of visitors across areas of Aegean Volcanic Arc, through the Internet, TV channels, tablets and mobile phones.

ADAMANT  Airport Decision And MAnagement NeTwork, 2002-2005, funded by the European Commission (IST-2001-39117)
Development of a wireless-based intelligent communication and decision support system for transport and travelers.

HERMES  An Accompanying measure for European Commission’s IT Nodes actions in the areas of Technologies for Business Processes, Electronic Commerce, Multimedia Content and Tools and Web Technologies, 2000-2002, funded by the European Commission, IST-2000-26429

Transmission of know-how to Mediterranean countries on technologies for harnessing cultural heritage content and making it available online through interactive applications. As part of this program, training seminars were organized in Amman, Athens, Cairo and Tunis with participants from various Arab countries.

OPENISE Open Platform for Enhanced Interactive Services, 1999-2001, funded by the European Commission, IST-1999-11590
Development of an end-to-end platform enhanced with Quality-of-Service (QoS) mechanisms. It was tested with 3 application scenarios: Guided tour to a virtual representation of ancient Priene, Virtual cinema and interactive tv, Virtual conference

Kids TV Mine 1998-2000, funded by the European Commission (INFO 2000)
Development of a multimedia database with children’s TV programs from all over Europe, available through the Internet.
